When we were young, in order to give our mother Carol Pelicano a break from cooking dinner two nights a week, our father Ted Pelicano invented Pelicano Pizza.
Every Tuesday and Saturday, Dad would make pizza and use the opportunity to form his eight children — gently, subtly imprinting upon them what it meant to be a Pelicano: integrity, generosity, faith, family, joy, lifting others' burdens, and maybe even an appreciation for Bossa Nova and West Coast Jazz!

Dad established a tradition that each of his eight children, 60+ grandchildren and 65+ great-grandchildren have carried into their own families. Every time we live this tradition of faith, family, and attention to others, Dad is right there with us.
